Defected to the AV in 1990
I got my start in radio an 1998 after answering an ad in the AV Press for a Radio Broadcaster for the now defunct KAVC. After being exiled to Clear Channel a few years later I began a career in cleaning the break room, vacuuming the studio, and occasionally engineering Laker and Dodger games for Fox Sports Radio. Oh yeah, I also got to set the security alarm at the end of the duty day. Yipeee
In 2005 I was back on-air for the now defunct Oasis 105.5 FM in Lancaster. (I swear this particular defunct was not totally my fault.) I was given the dreaded midnight-6am shift. The only shift not rated by Arbitron.
Now in 2008 I find myself on-air with KTPI. It really is an honor to be employed by the number 1 station in the AV. When I met the boss before my first shift I thought I was gonna get the speech about what I can and cannot say on the air. Instead he said, "Dave, promise me that you will not defunct us." I said, "Sorry boss, I cant make that promise."

Summer Has Arrived
I really thought Mother Nature was gonna take the summer off. We were teased all spring with mediocre weather.
